You can change the entire feel of a bedroom just by refreshing the bedding. Layering is everything for a cozy bed, especially in fall. Start with a quality set of sheets I personally love bamboo sheets for how soft and breathable they feel. Add a plush duvet with a cover in a rich fall color (a warm taupe is a favorite, or a fun print like stripes or gingham). Then layer in a throw for texture and warmth—chunky knit, faux fur, or wool all work beautifully. You can (and should) light candles year-round, but they feel especially cozy in fall. Whether you go scentless in a hurricane vase or reach for something autumnal, lean into the coziness. I always keep a candle in our entryway, and lighting a cinnamon-scented one each September is one of my favorite small traditions; the first lit fall candle of the season is worth celebrating in my house.
